If there is one thing photographers like to do it’s share their images. Sometimes we like to get feedback to help improve our skills, at other times we just want to share pictures we think are cool or important. In response to several conversations with our photographers Porter’s will begin to offer two new web galleries in March.
Porter’s Hot Shots Gallery has been designed as a place to upload and share pictures – any pictures. This is the gallery where we can show off our best shots, our fun pictures or just our kids – the gallery’s purpose is to share. Comments on gallery images are welcome! The Hot Shots Gallery images can be linked to from Facebook, Twitter or a link may be shared by email.
Porter’s Critique Corner is the web gallery to choose when the goal is to improve your skills. By uploading an image to the Critique Corner other photographers are able to comment on the image and offer insight or tips on how to improve it. Maybe you’ve had a hard time with landscapes, or perhaps you want to take better portraits, upload an example image and let the Porter’s community give you a hand.
Just like the Calendar Contest rules, all images and comments are moderated weekly before posting to the galleries. Porter’s goal is to maintain a family-oriented website that all may enjoy!
Links will be published to the image entry pages in the February 28th News Flash e-newsletter. On the same date links to the Porter’s and Tamron Calendar Photo Contest, the Hot Shots Gallery and the Critique Corner will all be available through Porter’s Contest page
