I wanted a Canon SLR digital, but I was given a deal on the Sony that I could not turn down. I always used Canon 35mm SLR and the only digital I had at the time was a Kodak. My photos was so clearer with the Sony that I was really happy. I love the zoom and also the 1 & 2x zoom capability. It allows you to get more zoom from your lenses. I have owned my camera for over a year now and I couldn't be happier. I have not had any problems with it and I still have things to learn about it. I have wonderful photos of hummingbirds in flight and no one can believe that I took the photos. They are so clear and beautiful. If you are thinking about this camera, give it a try. I did and I am really happy with the results.
