Tutorials and Classes
Today’s digital cameras are easy to use and boast dozens of options. Every convenience seems to be built-in and fully automatic – so how come your pictures still look like the snapshots you took a decade ago?
Cameras may have changed and become more computerized, but photography is still the same. Photography can be as easy as pushing a button, but better photography comes from a little education. And with just a little new knowledge it’s easy to see tremendous improvement in your pictures!
At Porter’s, we understand that there is a broad range photographic interest out there. There are those who want only enough information to make their family snapshots look better; then there are the avid photographers looking to stretch their creative boundaries with their camera. Porter’s offers education, tips and techniques for all photographers.
Check out Porter’s growing online library of tip sheets, videos, tutorials and essays here. We are constantly updating the content and looking for new topics. If you have a suggestion for a topic, email us here.
Sign up for our free email newsletter here. Each week you will receive an email with tips on a wide variety of topics, “how to” articles to improve your skills and other articles that will introduce you to new areas of photography you may wish to explore. Product sections discuss new cameras and other equipment, rebates and promotions.
Digital One to One offers free, effective photography coaching through online video. Geared to the general photographer, tips and techniques are demonstrated visually showing both the ‘how to’ and the outcome. Each video pod lasts between 2 and 5 minutes so you are able to put your new knowledge into practice right away. Over 3 dozen video pods are available with new pods added regularly, so keep checking back!
